The northern waters are also famous for halibut that can grow to exceed 400 pounds. The rugged shores and coastal entry to Naden Harbor presents the ultimate holding grounds for sizeable runs of halibut and migrating salmon.

Chinook
Chinook are also known as Spring or King salmon because of their big size. Their high oil content makes them one of the best rated tasting salmon. They have spotted blue-green backs, black gums and silver tails that are dotted with black spots.
Coho
Coho salmon are known for being one of the most prized salmon in British Columbia for their delicious rich meat. Coho are silver in colour when they enter the waters but change to a red and purple hue as they approach spawning time. Coho can weight between 6 to 14 pounds and their moody and aggressive behavior provide a great challenge for anglers.
Pink
Pink salmon are the smallest of the BC salmon species and average 4 to 6 pounds. Their runs are massively large and provide consistent and sport fishery for anglers.
Chum
Chum salmon are as also known as Keta salmon or Dog salmon and are also marketed under the name Silverbrite salmon. Chum salmon are silvery blue-green in colour, with some spotting in a darker shade and a pale belly. They change into a dark olive green colour and the belly deepens when they move into fresh water
