Tour 5

The winds remained calm from the south east and the seas were still for the entire duration of this trip. We’ve been quite spoilt with some amazing weather this week!

The quintessential Haida rain graced us at the end of the last day and as the guests fought off becoming slightly waterlogged with their hard working Simms gear, our local guide Albert lead Rob DuMerton to land our first 41 pound Tyee of the season. What a hog it was!

Humpback whales, orcas and dolphins were busy at work and at play in the fishing grounds and many a guest had a close up look at these magnificent creatures.

The fishing was work, but it was there and our guests left with their fill of freshly caught North Pacific chinook, coho and halibut. You could see the smiles from ear to ear as we loaded the Helijet choppers with their bounty.
