Entering Canada by Air, Land or Sea
We advise that guests entering Canada by plane, car, or boat ensure that their passports are valid and ready to go. This rule is also applicable to US citizens that are planning on re-entering in the US via car or boat. If you have any questions or concerns regarding international travel feel free to visit border security websites for both Canada and USA.
For guests who must overnight in Vancouver either on their way to our lodge or on your way home, we recommend that you stay at one of Peregrine Lodge’s preferred hotels.

The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is located in the main terminal and offers complimentary shuttle service to and from South Terminal YVR.
Pacific Gateway Hotel is located near the airport and offers complimentary shuttle service to and from South Terminal and main terminals.
The River Rock Hotel & Casino is located a short distance away at 8811 River Road in Richmond.
The Rosewood Hotel Georgia is located downtown Vancouver and offers a complimentary shuttle to groups of 10 guests or more to and from the South Terminal. This hotel is in the heart of downtown Vancouver and offers many amenities and shopping opportunities.
All hotels provide complimentary fish storage and handling.
Vancouver to Peregrine Lodge
Prior to arriving at Peregrine Lodge, you will receive complimentary shuttle service from either Fairmont Vancouver Airport, or Pacific Getaway, or take a taxi from any other Hotel to South Terminal at YVR.
You will be provided with parking at the airport for a nominal fee, but you are free to also check in with your hotel to see if they have guest parking available as well. It is roughly 10 minutes by car from YVR Airport, and you are expected to check in between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
We would like to note that before your trip, our guests are required to complete the Guest Information Form. Upon arrival at the South Terminal, please look for Peregrine Lodge signage where a representative with be happy to check you in for your flight.
The day of the departure from Vancouver, you will leave for Masset at 3:15 pm, and from there, you will transfer to Peregrine Lodge on a 10 minute, beautifully scenic helicopter ride. If the weather conditions are optimal, you should be able to arrive at the lodge between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm.
What to Bring
Your luggage must weigh less than 25 pounds/11 kilograms for your helicopter flight to the lodge as there are size and space restrictions. If it happens to be that your luggage exceeds the weight requirements, you could be asked to remove the items to lighten the weight capacity. Guests are warned that the luggage liability limit is $200. Soft carry-on luggage is best.
Prior to arriving at the lodge, you must purchase and print your fishing license. A BC Tidal Waters Sport Fishing License with a salmon conservation stamp is required to retain your catch.
Although the lodge’s dress code is casual, we highly suggest that guests dress for the warm weather with a light jacket to prepare for any rainy weather during their trip. For your stay at Peregrine Lodge, we will be providing you with a 2-piece (Helly Hansen) rain gear and (Boggs) boots.

- Required medication (especially if you are prone to motion sickness)
- Swimwear for the hot tub
