Fishing Report August 13-August 16, 2023
This trip was one for the history books! It was all about time spent with family and friends and catching some of the best fish around! We love bring people together and giving them experiences that they will never forget.
This whole month so far we have been blessed with some amazing weather and the forecast is only showing more of the same for the future. We are starting to feel the first effects of a westerly wind system thats coming through and we could not be more excited! Winds from this direction bring lots of bait in from the open water and with that comes more fish!
This trip was full of bent rods and tight lines. Guests brought in lots of chinooks over 20lbs and even some over 30lbs! While we are a salmon fishing lodge we occasionally catch some ling cod as bycatch and this trip brought in a 38lbs ling! This absolute monster of a fish is incredibly special around this area and put a smile from ear to ear on the guests face.
