Fishing Report August 6-August 9, 2023
We have just wrapped up another trip here at Peregrine lodge, sending off another group of happy guests with full tubs of the best fish you can catch! This week mother nature gave us a taste of everything, with a bit of sun, a bit of rain and everything in between. Our expert guides know the area surrounding our lodge like the back of their hand, so regardless of what the weather is doing, they will be able to provide a comfortable fishing experience for all. Whether you are offshore going for the coho or trolling through the kelp beds close to shore, they will make sure those rods are bent and those lines are tight! Plus this kind of variable weather is known the bring in the big ones!
The fishing this week was exceptional as always. We had a number of chinook hit the docks weighing over 20lbs with multiple over 25lbs! These fish put up an amazing fight on the line and are a ton of fun to reel in. The smiles of the guests when they land one of these can often be seen from across the water!
The highlight of the week has to go to the young man who landed the 12.7lbs coho!! He masterfully played the fish as it spooled the line out like no other! This was easily our biggest coho to hit our docks this season and rightfully so he was very proud of his catch. We could not be happier to be able to have played a part in such a vibrant and memorable moment for the young man and his father!
