Fishing Report July 5-July 9, 2023

Another amazing week of fishing comes to an end here at Peregrine Lodge and wow was it a good one! The wind was blowing but our expert anglers know the sheltered spots to keep you warm, dry, and out of the weather. Often these big winds bring in some big fish and this week was no exception!

As always the week was full of high teeners and 20lbs range chinook! We had our biggest coho of the year brought in at 9.4lbs! Talk about a good eater! We also had a magnificent pair of 26.4lbs springs that could have been twins they looked so alike. And to top it off, we had a big 37lbs chinook reeled in and gently released after measurements. We always feel extra stoked when we get to see those big fish swim away, knowing we are keeping the tradition of Haida Gwaii Tyees alive. Its weeks like these that make us so thankful to live and fish in such a bountiful, and beautiful area. (we feel that way every week by the way)

This trip we also had burger day out on the water and as you can tell by the last photo, our staff were fired up to have some hot lunch! Our chefs cook them up fresh on the boat and if the fishing is hot, which it was, our photo boat delivers them straight to you! Burger day is always a favourite among guests and staff for obvious reasons!
