Fishing Report July 9-July 12, 2023

We just wrapped up our 8th trip of the season and we couldn’t be happier with how things are going! The past few days the guides have been getting a workout with double headers going off on a regular basis. Some have mentioned that they could barely get the second rod rigged up before the first would get a hit!

This week the wind from last trip continued for the first day but eased off significantly as the days passed. By the last day of the trip it was clear blue skies, and glassy waters with a light 5kts of wind. In other words, it was an absolutely stunning day to be out on the water. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear as they filled their fish holds and shedded layers throughout the day.

We had a lot of chinook in the high teens come to the dock which we call the “perfect eaters”; tasty meat and manageable portions. The coho as always were on fire and everyone filled their tubs with ease. Its exciting to see them begin to get bigger as we are starting to see more 7 and 8 pound coho being brought in.
